Freedom

Freedom

Freedom

Freedom to me means being able to do what ever you want to do, also when ever you want to. It means being your own person, but I don't think America is free anymore.
I don’t think that America is free any more because if you even look in the wrong direction you will get sued. Not really, but you get what I mean.

Wednesday , September 8th, 2010 : Who'da Thunk It.

Today,

Like many other school days I've come across the day seems to go into 3 parts. 1st block, normally a little more laid back than my other classes, casual and vague. I can swim through that class and still be awake enough to grab a snack in the cafeteria. Then comes break. 15 minutes of chatting, discovering the latest gossip and finishing a piece of homework I completely forgot about. That is part one. Next is Block 2 and 3. This year and like the past two years, they have been consistently my hardest and most dreaded classes.

just like you.

I am just like you.

I live in your country,
I live in your state,
I live in your town.

I am your peer,
I am your neighbor,
I am your friend.

I believe in your beliefs,
I dream your dreams,
I strive for your goals.

I am everything you are,
nothing less,
nothing more.

I live just like you.
I breathe just like you.
I love just like you.

So why aren't we equal?
Why do I have to fight,
day in and day out,
for all of the simple rights that you already have?

I am just like you.

The Everlasting Truth

I sit in school every day studying all my friends. The girls i study because you have to watch your back to know someone has it. the more important, though, are the boys. Their devil's grin is easy to fall for, but trusted? That's another story. Yes, that's what you at first, then their hair, then most importantly their eyes. Oh yes, the blue can be lovely and daring, but what about cold? Oh, and the brown's warm and cozy, but what about back-stabs? And the unusual hazel are so unique and confusing, but remember the key word? Confusing, how do you find someone to trust?

The Battleship Potemkin

The highlight for me, what summed up not only Matan Porat's artistic process but also "The Battleship Potemkin", was a single moment. A fraction of a second. A fleeting thought.

Runaway Review

The other night, I rented the movie "The Runaways". I have to agree with Lenard Maltin on this one; I was surprised at how much I liked it. I thought it would a dark, kinda scary, sexual movie- Which it was. But the dry humor and the acting made it worth seeing. I wouldn't recomend this movie for children under the age of 14. The movie is rated R and the say f**k A LOT. So I personally thought Kristen Stewart's acting in the Twilight movies were quite frankly- stupid. And I think her role as Bella didn't suite her well-besides the awkwardness-she nailed that.

Anatomy of a Mistake

In general...

We are not all idiots. Most everyone has a bit of a clue of what is going on and how not to make a mistake a mess up everyone's life, especially your own.

Most of the time...

We make good decisions. We make rational and expected decisions that do not hurt anyone. We make these smart choices sometimes, often, against what we actually want, because we know that what we want is not what we can have.

But sometimes...

Thoughts From An Empty Dorm

i.
Ten cookies, a box of Cinnamon Life, a can of Dr. Pepper, and a quart of milk.
The purchase from my first trip to the market across the street.
I saw six people on the way to and from.
This place defines small town.
There isn't one stoplight in the entire town.

ii.
Currently, I'm eating cereal from a Christmas-themed mug.
My door is open, inviting no one in.
The hallway is eerily silent.
I feel more like a ghost than a person.
There is no air conditioning in this room.
Last night, I lay awake for a long time,
bathed in my own sweat as two fans uselessly blasted air at me.

They thought it was just a phase.

I couldn’t go.
They thought it was just a phase.
They thought it was because I was a teenager.
They were actually happy when they came to that realization,
Because it would mean I shared some behaviors with my “peers.”
They thought that they understood.
They didn’t.
I could not go to church,
And it wasn’t because I was rebelling against religion
Or that there were no cute guys there.
I couldn’t go to church.
The most holy f***ing place
And I could not go.
Because I hated them,
The people,
The churchgoers.
Who went through the motions of worshiping some dude

Forgive Me; II (Louder Vocals)

It look's like you don't have Adobe Flash Player installed. Get it now.

Now with louder vocals! ;)

As per popular request, I redid my song, with louder vocals... And substituted an acoustic guitar for the electric I used (on an acoustic channel) last time..

If anyone's looking for some good collab (aka vocals, drums, bass...) I'd love to work this song up to a much better and brighter version!!!!!

Happy listening!
-A

I'm finally
learning to forgive.
If I don't,
I don't know how i'll live.
It tortures me inside,
makes me wanna hide for a while.

It's human to err
it's not like I don't care
about all the mistakes i've made
in my life.
II know i've been wrong,

This is Your Higer Education

The right kind of person
Hates everything
Hurts everyone
Has no care for the environment
Or the established mean
Or love

But

The right kind of person
Is hated by the wrong kind of person
Who think they know what's best
And think they are doing it all perfectly
Loving unconditionally
Except for that little dark spot in their hot heart
Where they reserve a special kind of callousness
For the right kind of person

It's all perspective
No one knows what's right and wrong
In the end
Ethics is just a class in college
Where people learn everything
And come out stupid

Friends

Friends are the ones that will do anything for you. They look out for you. Being a good friend is more than that. Its about two or more people that love each other like siblings. its about all the memories that you make. they are the ones that are there for you through the hard times and the good times. they make you laugh and they drop what they are donig to make sure you'r ok. that is what a friend truly is...

Love is Hate

love is hate-
in hidden form,
hurting your heart
[deeper than deep]
and your soul

[there burning]
feeding a desire,
which flickers stronger-
than any feeling,
bringing unwanted dreams

dreams about the flames and love-
even though you yourself hate this,
these distractions-
[you hate]
you hate this love,
this feeling,
this thing inside of you-
making you think

love just may be hate.

word

what is the meaning
of Word, as it's meaning
is Words once again?
therefore, what is the
meaning of those Words
if in a technical sence,
nothing in this world
has meaning if
Word was no more.
but that makes no
sence what so ever
because i'm writing
words of Word on
this paper.how would we communicate
while we still can't
communicate with
everyone because
they have their own
Word or language.
definition: is made
up of Word.
so our whole world
revolves around one thing...
Word

the heart of the sky

the moon is the echo of a broken heart, rarely to be full again, but like a moon a broken heart can never fully heal thats the sad part. luckly every once and a while, somthing comes along and for a short while all is well, till you fall yet again... the good part is the pices are always there reflecting like the stars. but, they just wont ever come back...

Clenching Addiction

There is an addiction plaguing the nation. A drug that offers a complete release of the user's sub-conscious mind and destruction of their conscious mind, as well as intensive energy and alertness immediately following the use. feelings of bliss, awe, and sometimes even frightening images of distorted reality are known to occur in the confines of the experience. However, the substance also takes a person out of their head for up to eight hours at a time, completely separating them from reality and the world they live in.

Peer-pressure

The hardest part of writing
Is putting a feeling,
Deep, pit-of-the-stomach anger,
Horrible, hart-wrenching anguish,
Amazing, light-as-air elation,
Beautiful, all-consuming passion,
Down onto a one-dementional piece of paper.
But the hardest emotion to realize in the printed word,
Is the horrible reality of peer pressure.
Because, to quote Portia,
If only "it were as easy to do the right thing
as it is to know what the right thing is."

writing

Writing is how we make our mark on the world. Writing is how we express ourselves, what sets apart and brings us together. In writing, there is love, anguish, furry, and hope. In writing there is everything.
Opinions can quickly become facts. You can write something a thousand times over and never get it right. Sometimes you write something over and over again only to realize you were reading it wrong.

Cell phones

First of all, I don't have a cell phone and don't really need one yet. So if we could use phones in school, I still could not.

you're beautiful

you
are what i love most about you.

your ruffled hair,
your deep eyes,
your caring voice,
your warmth
are just parts of you.
they are nice to sink into,
to relax and hold on to,
but you are so much more than that.

when i look at you,
i see more than your appearance.
i see someone beautiful on the inside:
someone who loves, cares, and gives
more than anyone else can dream of.

never forget
that i love you.

Nature

Sometimes it's hard to
pick just
one
thing to believe in.

I believe in God.

But I also believe in Nature.

She's been alive for the last
forty seven
hundred
million
years.
She's been nurturing her creations
since the beginning of time.
And now, in some random luck,
she's created us.

We, too, say we are creating.
Yes, we are. We are creating safety:
no more potentially dangerous animals to attack us,
no more forests to lose ourselves in,
no more unreliable harvests to crush our hopes,
no more terrorist threats to fear.
And we mighty humans have figured out

I don't go by calenders

It seems like the snow was falling only yesterday,
and spring was only seconds ago.

~

I don't go by calenders,
when it comes to
the seasons.
I believe that it's the earth choice
whether the flowers
should burst into
bloom.
Not some silly little piece of paper that
counts the days.

A Thing

There are days when sky exudes an aura that says, “I will listen”.

These are the days that people, no matter where life has placed them, will ask, “Why? For what reason do I exist?”, and no-one will answer them, because the sky does not possess a voice, and because people simply do not know what to say.

But perhaps, there is no answer, no great reason for us to exist. But let us enjoy this meaningless existence, this purposeless, wonderful thing called Life.

Just A Thought

I was really thinking about this heaven or hell concept.......and too tell you the truth i really don't know. I bet you i could write pages and pages about death and how scarred i am....but in the end it wouldn't really matter because we all die. To get rid of my fears i write.....but heres some thing to think about... many of us say we were born in the wrong era..but which one???? I guess we have a reason for being in this era but really i don't know..... Personally i would have choosen to be born is the late..late 60 to late 70s. Then again thats just me....
