CHARACTERS: Emily, 17, stuck up popular teen.

                            Jenna, 16, stereo typical nerd.

 

SCENE: In a dining room

 

AT RISE: Emily opens the door walks in the house throws bag, and scarf  on floor. Texting and walking across the stage all the way off. Comes back on cell is in hand she has a confused look on her face walks over to dining room table and sets her phone on the table. She looks at her bag still by the door, and then she starts to look around as soon as she gets to the middle of the floor she yells

 

 

                                    EMILY

(Yells)

 Mom

(But she gets no reply. She walks to the table and calls her mom on her cell phone but no answer, strait to voice mail)

Characters: ARTHUR, a forty year old portly man with graying hair.
BENJAMIN, a twenty-one year old man with brown hair. CALEB, a nine year old boy with blonde hair and blue eyes. JACOB, a seventeen year old boy with dark hair and dark eyes.
 
Scene: It is midnight in an alleyway near an office building.
 
At Rise: The three sons are crouched behind a dumpster waiting for their father to come out of work.
 
JACOB
Ben, what are we doing here?
 
BENJAMIN
I told you, you didn’t have to come. I just need to talk to someone.
 
JACOB
You can quit the act Ben; I know you’re here to see Arthur.
 
BENJAMIN
He’s our father Jake, and I just need to know why.
