Carpool.
Recycle.
No hairspray.
No Littering.
Don't keep the refrigerator open.
Those are some simple everyday things that you can change to help our planet Earth out.

Global Warming

Global Warming—it is an endless cycle—vicious and growing stronger with every rotation. Our doom is not at its end, nor is out doom sentenced yet, our doom will come when we view all of the human accomplishments destroyed by something that was started by us and could only have been stopped by us.

global warming

. Global warming stinks because we haven’t had a good winter for a long time. We need a solution to the problem soon or it won’t be easy to go skiing.

Tomorrow

Here we stand,
Without a chance.
Believing that we knew
And understood
This place that we walk,
This heart that we’ve broken,
A face left faceless among the dust.
And we believe that we knew
How to handle ourselves.
But we’ve lost in time
To the beating of the drum.
These things that we’ve looked past
And these places that we think we’ve been…
It’s all adding up

Solution is you

as the president, i feel we are in need of a solution

Solutions evade me
How long ‘till our planet’s dead?
It’s up to us now.

A Global Concern

We have all heard media reports of a crisis brewing called global warming. Scientists are already marking rapid changes in the Earth’s global temperature. Most authorities allude to marked changes that will take place in the next twenty to fifty years.

Global Warming

What's Happend to us?
Global Warming is deadly.
The world is changing.

Global Warming

The worlds getting hot
Due to the things in the parking lot
We’re hurting the world in masses
Thanks to the green house gasses

The warmth is melting the ice caps
The world is doomed perhaps
We have to change our ways
If we wish for future days

Cars aren’t the only reason
Other man made products are committing treason
The smog is becoming so thick

Global Warming

To resolude this problem
Awareness is the key
For how can one put forth a hand
When success he does not see

Set forth an easier plan
Make change the upcoming goal
For when their help is plain to see
Courage will atop the knoll

Action must set forth today
Though no result will be seen tomorrow
A common ground we wish not to leave

What's correct?

The debate over this concept
Rattles my brain
As I try to take in
Everything people believe
And try to sort through
Their ideas
To reach a
Conclusion of my own.
I don’t know what to think
Does it exist?
To what extent?
Is it the natural
Cycle of the Earth?
Is it natural progression
Aided by humans?
I don’t know
And there are so many
Conflicting views

Global Warming

To the people of the United States of America

You're Still Screaming

December 25, 2007, Christmas day-no snow
End of January, 2007-no snow
February, 2007-first snow fall that lasts until April
I’m a skier who is against global warming
It’s not just bad for the mountain, but for everyone who is apart of mother earth
We take advantage of you
We do not even care
Until you start to warm up the air
We begin to notice
Have we done anything?

Global Warming

If everthing was as easy as 1,2,3
We could get our world back on track.
Not everyone cares
The same as others,
But if they did,
We could stop Global Warming.
No more holes in the atmosphere
No more melting of icebergs,
Polar bears would have homes
And Florida may not be threatened to be underwater.
People could prevent this:
Carpool,
Buy hybrid cars,
Don't use hairspray!

Goble Worming

Mommy Mommy!
What does goble worming mean mommy?
What is a goble worm anyway?
Are they big?
Are they scary?
Do they eat people and gobble them up?
I’m scared.
I think there are some in the basement.
That’s probably what makes those noises at night.
Oh, it’s really called global warming?
What the heck is that?
Oh, well in that case, we’ll all be fine.

Global Warming

So, Global Warming
Ravages the world today
How will you stop it

Global Warming

Melting of the earth
Like the sweat on lemonade,
Nothing but a puddle

Mr Bush,

Where Has Winter Gone

Where Has Winter Gone?

By Jace Curtis
Rochester High School, Grade 10

Fluffy white and full of fun,
Lots of snow came falling down.
The sun was bright,
The air was crisp.
Winter was in full swing.

As the days went by more snow came,
A few inches a night that was nice.
But then it all changed,
No snow but rain,
It's the middle of winter not of spring.

It's mostly gone,
And seeming to seem,
There will be no more winter,
Until next year.
How can this be?

I can't take much more.
It's very depressing.
I would really like to know.
Could someone please tell me,
Where winter has gone?

Our Suffering Mother

Our Suffering Mother

By Emma Redden
Leland and Gray Union High School, Grade 10

Our precious ground
is melting, freezing,
dissolving, congealing.
We are the sole protagonists,
the sole antagonists.
We are the only creators,
and the only opposers.
We hold signs
to make our concern public
and yet we drive cars to that rally.
We use low energy light bulbs,

Global Warming

By Hannah Hatch

Ferrisburgh Central School Grade 5

Did you know that over the last 100 years the sea level has risen 6-8
inches? Global warming causes this. Global warming is the process of
earth’s atmosphere heating up. When gas like carbon dioxide and
methane get trapped in the atmosphere and heat it up, this is called

Global Warming

Global Warming

Jake Dombeck, Ferrisburgh Central School, Grade 5

Have you ever heard of global warming? Do you want it to stop? Global
warming is when the earth heats up. It’s happening because of humans
polluting the earth. The greenhouse gas make earth hotter. I think
global warming is happening and here are some things you can do about it.

Cease Global Warming

Cease Global Warming!

By Ryan McEntee
Ferrisburgh Central School , Grade 5

Do you want to make a difference in the world? I am
writing to you because I think global warming is real and that we need
to take some action by carpooling and by turning off the lights when
you are not using them. Carbon dioxide in the air causes greenhouse

Global Warming

Imagine a world where parts of New York City and Florida are
underwater. Well, this world could be ours if we don’t help stop
global warming. Global warming is the process of the earth’s
atmosphere heating up because heat can’t escape into space since the
greenhouse effect is too strong. I think global warming is an

Presidential Debate Question #4

If I were President the first major problem I would face would be that of our greatest enemy...global warming.....which will, in my eyes, one day be the defeat of us all if we do not consider that, a MAJOR problem. So first of all I would like to say how everything has a reason.

Our Future Planet

Our Future Planet

By Alicia Cerasoli
Hartford Memorial Middle School, Grade 8

I sit at the table,
Waiting.
A glazed looking white bowl sits in front of me.
My Edy’s green Mint Chocolate-Chip ice cream
Stares back.
Green melts away,
Far, far away.
Running
Just to reach the perfect white deep bottom.
A beam of sun falls in the backyard window
Onto the ice cream,
