Tractor Color

Tractor Color

Brandon Sweet, a senior at Essex High School, says this about his photograph: “I took the picture of the tractor because I am a farmer, and I love the look of old equipment. I see these things every day, and I wanted to view them from a different perspective. I work on a 700-cow dairy farm. We milk 300 of them; the rest are dry cows and heifers. Usually I milk cows.

Miles Latham

Miles Latham

Miles Latham, an eighth-grader at Hartford Memorial Middle School, wrote this about his artwork: “When I made this tree, I was originally intending to incorporate some of the shapes and colors of fire into the design. But as I continued, I realized that it would look far more interesting to use many colors of the rainbow.

Snowstorm -- Amy Coleman

This photograph is by Amy Coleman, a student at Essex High School. Here is how she describes her work: “My theme is ‘memories.’ This shows black and white pictures of something a little depressing or not that special, but then I add color to a specific part of it that adds meaning. This is only my second time using digital, but I think it's going well.

Callie Cox of White River Junction says this about her piece: “When I made this I was thinking of fire and ice and what they might look like together. I like the whole picture, especially how the different colors blend together. I like art and pictures because you can express yourself in many different ways.
