Silver Hearts Shine As Stars

Exquisite silver hearts, intertwined by a ring of gold.
They shine as the stars in the moonlight,
Our hearts,
Our love,
Intertwined forever in this band of gold.
Exquisite silver hearts, shining in the sun,
held together by the threads of hope and trust.
Our hearts,
Our love,
threaded in a band that will always last.
Exquisite silver hearts,
Shining bright in the sun, in the moonlight.
Forever and always,
we will shine like the stars,
as one,
in our band of gold.

squiggles and lines

It was so perfect, what I thought we had
They tell me “not everything works,” no need to be sad

But does it occur to you, how you made me feel?
Stupid and blind, yet “it’s no big deal”

The stupid words “are you okay”
That question I hear nearly everyday

Of course I am, why wouldn’t I be?
I’m over it and fine, why can’t you people see?

The Goose Hunt

Laying in the blind,
5 in the morning,
Waiting for the geese,
Waiting till they start flying,
You can’t beat it,
When you see a goose coming in,
Putting on their landing gear,
Feet down,
Wings locked,
Minds set on landing,
Landing in your decoy spread,
Waiting,
Waiting to hear, “get up”
Sitting up,

Siblings - an Older Sister

Living up to someone's standards
never quite struck gold
someone else who came before you
living life so bold
my tears have dripped for many reasons
I could never hold
people think of me like her
for certain traits I've sold
We may have certain genes alike
such as eyes and hair I'm told
