The Ill-Fated Lad
Submitted by Magzdoodle on Thu, 04/09/2009 - 7:29pmI wrote this as a major inside joke for my teachers. I don't really expect it to make any sense to outsiders. But if you would like to understand it/ have me tell you the full story, feel free to email me: [lm deleted personal info] I would LOVE to explain it.
Dedicated to my teachers. I love you guys :)
It was a dark and stormy afternoon at Milton High School. Maggie’s class sat drearily in Biology class, glimpsing tediously out the gloomy window as the rain continued to sputter from the bursting clouds like a hose released of its kink.
RING! RING! RING!
“Hello?” Mrs. H abruptly answered the ringing phone, slicing the silence like she would soon slice her broken beakers across her co-worker’s body.
“Hey, Mrs. H, this is, uh... This is Mrs. M,” Mrs. M muttered from her end of the conversation. Read more »

Undeniably Unexplainable
Submitted by Parrotfish802 on Sun, 06/15/2008 - 4:36pmI love
the smell
of gunpowder
I don't
know why
Everytime
I smell it
I think
of camping
or waking up
in the morning
to bacon
and beans
and the sound
of someone firing
a musket
and realizing
that you're in
the middle of
the woods
during fall
practicing
your aim
Your father
or uncle
or brother
has brought
you out to go
hunting
and you know
you're not ready
to kill
anything
You never
will be
But you go
Sitting on
stumps of trees
gun ready for
action
You know
you'll never
shoot it
at an animal
And still
you go
The experience
is thrilling
it's so much fun
just to be out
on a four wheeler
cruising around
the trails
Just being
out there
Smelling winter
reaching towards
you
knowing frost
will soon be around
being able
to smell seasons
change
That's awesome
And know this:
there's nothing
no substitute
for growing up
a tomboy
in Vermont
The Father part one
Submitted by audreypicut on Thu, 03/27/2008 - 7:22pmSara's father was lying on the floor, blood pouring out of him. Sara was screaming like every ounce of energy was pouring out. The knife, it was lying on the counter the one that had stabbed into him. Sara then whispered,"The father, the father shall come alive tonight!" and with that a gust of wind shot through her father's wounded chest and knocked Sara out cold.
