A foot lashes against
The sad blue stomach
In frustration not earned

3003 relents, wincing as
The drippy coat
The grassy shoes
The muddy cleats
The textbook not covered
Are forced in
Crushing that day-old egg-salad sandwich
With the squelch of a road-kill frog.
