Denial of Truth
Submitted by Mango on January 1, 2009 - 20:48.(The lights open to five stools, positioned at the center of the stage. On these stools sit two boys.)
Boy 1: Are they coming?
Boy 2: No. They are dead.
Boy 1: Who killed them?
Boy 2: You did.
Boy 1: I don't believe you.
(Another Boy joins the two from SR. He is dressed in all white. He takes a stool.)
Boy 2: See?
Boy 1: I didn't kill this boy.
Boy 2: (To boy 3) Boy, who killed you?
Boy 3: It was this boy (pointing to boy 1)
Boy 1: (To boy 2) He's lying.
(Boy 1 exits SL)
Boy 2: (To boy 3) What can you tell me?
Boy 3: Dying is worse than death.
Boy 2: And knowing the pain you've caused others?
Boy 3: Unbearable.
Boy 2: And knowing you could have stopped it all?
Boy 3: Please do not speak of it.
Boy 2: (pauses) So you are still hiding from the truth?
(Boy 3 begins to weep.)
Boy 2: That boy didn't kill you.
(Boy 3 looks up)
Boy 2: He helped you kill yourself.
Boy 3: I don't believe you.
(Boy 3 exits.)

Looking to the future
Submitted by Schila on May 18, 2008 - 16:05.We need,
to look into the future.
Invest into
renewable energy sources.
Please save mother earth.
We should,
help people
in darfur.
Stop genocide,
and begin reparing.
I think
the world needs
some repair.
To breathe a sigh of relief
In times of trouble
as the president, i feel we are in need of a solution

Solutions evade me
How long ‘till our planet’s dead?
It’s up to us now.

Global Warming
To resolude this problem
Awareness is the key
For how can one put forth a hand
When success he does not see
Set forth an easier plan
Make change the upcoming goal
For when their help is plain to see
Courage will atop the knoll
Action must set forth today
Though no result will be seen tomorrow
A common ground we wish not to leave
Mr Bush, Let me Take You Into the future
Submitted by moxiemare on January 17, 2008 - 22:47.Mr Bush....
Let me take you into the future, just climb up upon this time machine and let me show you what we have in store for us. Flying cars you say, nooooo, too much oil. Coffee makers that run by themselves, no needed plug-ins, that was invented years ago, before the world looked like it did now. Ok Mr Bush close your eyes there's going to be a bright light, then we'll be there.

From Vermont in November
Submitted by Usagi on December 28, 2007 - 13:49.I'm fairly certain
Water shouldn't be this hot.
Fish probably
Would've evolved
Differently
If the ocean started boiling
Often.
And the seaweed rising to the surface
Doesn't look very
Alive.
Giant pockets of air
Are erupting around
The legs of the dock
And tossing my boat
From side to side.
Eureka sticks his nose in
And yelps
And backs away
Shaking hot water from his fur.
Global Warming
Submitted by LizLiz123 on October 25, 2007 - 22:06.Editor's note: I believe this is the article to which the author refers. For a great link on the subject, click here.
Reading this article was the first time i had heard this position being taken against global warming. I think that if the government won't pay enough attention to such a huge and life-changing issue such as global warming, then the only way to get the desired attention is to approach it from multiple angles.
