Change

When the leaves change
I start to rearrange
like the leaves in the trees
floating down like frisbees
I undergo a transformation.

When you look at the changing landscape
you may notice a changing trait
my eyes turn yellow
like the flowers in the meadow
That's one thing that sets me apart

The leaves change their color
so does my brother
I turn red
in winter I am lead
to my home and myself
the trees.
for I am a Dryad

A Dryad is one with nature
we've survived the past and we will the future
the key to human survival
the keys to earth's revival.
we are the trees
and you are too.

Out of the Snow

Out Of The Snow

The mistake

My parents made
A mistake.
They left me at home
Alone
With nothing to do
Nothing but to wait.
The snow slowly
Building up to a height
Where I can't even see out the windows.
The snow so blindingly white
That I can’t even look at it.
The snowy view
[Quarantining]
me
From the rest of the
world.
If my parents hadn't left me here
Alone.
Then this would be fun.
We would play board games together,
In the dwindling light
Or read stories and talk around the fire.
Instead, they had to go on that
stupid business trip to who knows where
They never have made such a
Horrible
terrible
mistake.

Horror

My eyes are playing
Tricks on
Me.
Giving me
Hopes
And
Horrors.
I will
Never

Outcasts

Outcasts

The person over there in the corner with no friends
Or the one hanging on the edge of popularity
Sometimes we band together
Other times we stay solo
We have our own lives
We live them without being popular
We get our work done
Be quiet enough to go unnoticed
but loud enough for the teachers to see us
We sit alone on the bus
Sit at our own table

Dad

Dad

I love you dad and that is a fact
Despite how badly I act
I always love you
I've loved you since I was new

You are my dad
Sometimes you get mad
We have fights
Eventually, we see the light
And we are no longer sad

You are awesome
Like a mid-morning blossom
You take us up skiing
You say seeing is believing
Up all hours of the night like an opossum

Thank you, dad

Grandma

Grandma

Grandparents love you
Since you were new
They were there when you were born
Between the parents and you there torn
Think of all the things they’ve been through

My grandma is great
Somewhere around sixty-eight
She gives us hugs and kisses
When we leave it is us she misses
Even if we’re always late

Grandparents protect
To them, you must respect
They love you dearly
If you look you can see it clearly
It's them you should never neglect

Thank you, Grandma

Fictional advice

You may wonder what I am. I am a fictional character a figment of your imagination drawn on this itchy white paper. but I still have mighty fine suggestions.

Don't chew with your mouth open
And this ain't no pun
The stake overcooked
gotten on my awesome book
Now keep your mouth closed

Don’t fall asleep on my book
For a pillow,  you must have mistook
You drool gets on pages
The removal takes ages
All the gobbledygook

If you ever want a spouse
Stop acting like a mouse
Don't hide under the covers
Grownups don't run to their mothers
Even if you've got a case of head louse

This is what I say to you as I have always said. Although I may be a figment of your imagination there is still truth in my words.

Trees With Knees

Trees With Knees

It was a bright sunny morning with a cloudless sky and the light slipping its way through the trees branched I was sitting under. The tree was a large Pine tree with rivets of sap rolling down its side and under the tree and recited a poem I made.

“A pine tree stands strong
Through its branches the wind a song
The sunlight filters through
It seems the worlds anew
The pine tree still stands strong

A pine tree stays strong
All through the winter that's long
In Spring it's green
In Summer, on its branches, birds preen
And in the fall it chugs right along

A pine tree is just what we need.”

“Twas a mighty fine poem young man,” said a voice behind me.

Oh A Pine Tree

Oh A Pine Tree

A pine tree stands strong
Through its branches the wind a song
The sunlight filters through
It seems the worlds anew
The pine tree still stands strong

A pine tree stays strong
All through the winter that's long
In Spring it's green
In Summer, on its branches, birds preen
And in the fall it chugs right along

A pine tree is just what we need.

Super Powers

Flamer

Last night everyone had a dream where they could have any super power. Most people would probably choose to fly or Xray vision. The only problem with that if there was somebody that chose the power before you than your power wouldn’t work. To many people, they didn’t care and thought oh I’ll choose to fly. What we didn’t know was that the superpower we chose would be ours in the real world.
