poem 0 comments challenge: Disaster

Disaster

Mud splashes against my face

A whirling spinning tower of wind cuts through the field

Slicing through barns and houses

As if they were a knife through butter

The tower of wind is hectic and dangerous

But I feel as if I am in the heat of battle

My head filled with a whirlpool of emotions and thoughts
Around you there is no calm

There is only chaos

Cries of despair hopelessness, and worry

Pierce the night, filling the sky with their song

There is no we will make it out

No silver lining

More like a nightmare than real life
It's hard to focus on one thing

Words thoughts emotions jumble and mix together

For there are thousands of things happening

If you don't hold on, your mind can break

You can give up, and that is the true disaster
Of course before the disaster there is the calm

poem 0 comments challenge: Shy

Shy Boy

Noone notices him

But he is always there

They pass him

Without even acknowledging his presence

He wishes he could respond

He urges to reach out

And be there, be someone
But he can't, he just can't

No matter how hard he tries

He can't gather the courage

No, he just can't;
He wishes he could be like them,

But deep, deep down in the center

It’s a lie and it always will be

For deep down he knows
He is loud in his own way

But he nary uses words

And chooses instead to speak,

With the language all can feel, emotions

The Mess Up

The Mess up

Text message

Me: Hey dad

Dad: Yes

Me: What time are we leaving for Florida?

Dad: What do you mean?

Me: Remember, you said we were leaving today

Dad: Oh, I sent you a voicemail saying it was delayed

Me: No, I have no voicemails

Dad: I definitely sent you one

Me: Nope I definitely have none

Dad: Well, I did send it

Me: No

Dad: Yes

Me: No

Dad: Yes

Me: Wait, What did you do when you sent it?

Dad: Well, I turned the phone on,  I typed in the password, I pressed the little telephone app, typed in your number, then I listened, so I think it automatically went to message, I said we're not going then ended

Me: Wait, did you wait for it to beep

Dad: Beep?

Me: It makes a little beep before you start talking if you leave a message

The Stone

A book without pages

A work of art but not made by our species
With a hard outer shell,

And even gems inside
A stone is magical

One with the earth
We use it for many things

Though some we should never change
It creates mountains that make you feel high

And deep canyons that attract us
It’s a home for many things

Some that share its sense of magic
In fact stone was one of man's first canvases

For which they drew the world that they knew
Rock was on this earth before us

It can erupt in flames or lie deep, deep in the waters
But I know one thing for sure

Stone is magical

The Tree

With it’s strong but graceful stature;

Protector of the forest but dependent on it too
Home of many, and parent of thousands

Age that can only be told by its rings
Playground for whoever wishes it is

Producer of the things you need most
Builder of homes and tools,

And creator of millions of toys
In danger from us somehow

Even though we depend on it
But even though we are constantly a danger to it

We are able to help plant the seed that will create them
Oak, ash, hawthorn, hemlock, gum and many more

Yes it is the beloved, and amazing; tree

Xmas wait

There's over 2 weeks until Christmas and I can hardly wait. We put up our tree yesterday and even got to put ornaments on it. Our house is covered from head to toe with Xmas decorations and so are we. I wake up every morning in my nutcracker pajamas and go downstairs to the tree were I eat my breakfast. Then, I get ready and go to school. At school, thoughts of presents, cookies and Christmas trees fill my head. The weekdays seem to last forever; and then it’s Xmas break.

I can hardly control myself. I’m singing Xmas carols every second, and I just can't wait. I go to parties and make presents and even bake cookies with my sister who’s 15. I go skiing, sledding and skating. I think it’s my favorite time of the year.

Smoke

His feet thudded against the pavement,

Making a rhythmic sound that seemed to lull his senses,
His mind was empty;

Just a blank white space, filled with nothing,
He ran this route every morning, rain or shine

But this time something would change, forever,
As he raised his head he saw it;

A spiral of smoke rising from the place where his house was,
He started sprinting, in a frantic mad dash,

He hoped it was a campfire from the house across from his, but he knew different,
As he rounded the bend he knew things would change,

And that they would change forever.

What boost don't know means to me

There is good in everyone, boost don't knock. This was stated by Warren G. Harding, the 29th president of the United States. You might not know that this has more to do in your daily school life. When you are at school there are many ways you can boost and knock. For example, at my school if someone is doing someithing slow I will wait for them rather than be rude and demand that they hurry up, I believe that that is an example of boosting. They probally have a reason for being slow. If you make fun of them or do anything mean or rude you arre knocking them down and that is just wrong. If someone else is knocking people down don't be rude back to them. You can be nice and encourage them (which is an exaple of boosting) rather than knocking them down. You don't probbaly don't know what is going on in their life. I think that boost don't knock is a great message and everyone should follow it.
