Dear America
did you know what would become of this world?
did you know what we would become?
how we would transform your land....
build up walls in the middle of humanity?
did you know? did you know? did you know?
are you mad?
would you change?
(if you could?)
yet here we stand celebrating...
being o.k. with this rising of tides and
exclusion of seas.
change.
what a beautiful word.
the one that we owe existence to.
how can we not understand...
how precious our lives are here.
but we must change.
we must become.
we must evolve to thrive in this america.
silly me.
I thought this was a free country.

You being up a great point. If we do not take action soon for climate change, it might already be to late. But the best thing we can do as youths is to spread the word and emphasize the importance of the fact that climate change is real. It is our future.
