poem 2 comments challenge: General/Free Write
queenlalaladaisy

A royal fall

I was the queen and this was my kingdom
On top of the world
Watching the kids as they chased
As the chariots raced
Until I was replaced
I sat at the throne
Now I sit alone
I see the royals pass by
brings a tear to my
Eye
I had it all
Tell me
When did my crown slip and fall?

Something I really like about this poem is how short it is but how much emotion it carries. I don't know if you intended for it to be this way, but to me it felt kinda like a metaphor for popularity and how it comes and goes like how you described the end of a Queens rule over her kingdom. Anyway, nicely done!

Thanks! I did think of status with friendships and such when I wrote it!
