Line Break, Episode 50 Part 1

Podcast50pt1Edited!!.mp3
Hi everyone! This week I spoke with Lizzy_Rights about her poem, "The Ten Most Beautiful Things," Hallmark movies, dogs versus cats, going through difficult times, finding similarities between ourselves and book characters, relating feminism to chess, and bullet journaling.
I hope you enjoy! Don't forget to sign up for the next Oh Snap! Online Open Mic hosted by amaryllis and I on Nov. 20 at 1pm Eastern! Can't wait to see you there! :)
-Iris

I have been meaning to comment on your work for some time eyesofiris. Which only makes my delay in doing so all the more heinous. I love these podcasts. I love what you've done for the YWP community, for the authors, for showing how much thought and energy and attention that these young writers give to their work. You amplify their voices and you should feel really good about it.
I have left an audio comment and here's the relevant link to what I'm talking about: https://zencastr.com/

And Lizzy_Rights, I love your poem and have taken the liberty of inserting a link to your poem in this piece so I (and others) can read along as you present it. Nicely done.

Hi! Thank you so much for the comment, it means a lot to me! The audio quality has definitely been my nemesis since the beginning, and I've been using Audacity to edit out background noise and try to make the audio sound clearer, which has worked fairly well but there are still times when it's garbled or cuts out. I haven't heard of Zencastr before, but I just checked it out and it seems like a great way to record! I'm so grateful to be able to share Line Break with YWP and record with so many young writers - especially during the pandemic, I feel like the podcast has served as a sort of time capsule to record where we're at with our lives and our writing, and it's so amazing to see how much I've evolved with both the podcast and my own writing since starting Line Break. And I'm so glad that you enjoy it!
Thank you again for the tips! - Iris
