fiction challenge: Color

Blare

Blare. The color of violent red and royal blue smashed together with a prickly brush. They only touch and never unite. Two strong minded colors who were put together by accident. Blare is the color you would see spiderman wear. He would promote a blare colored toothpaste, (that is made up of blue and red stripes). You would hope it wouldn’t stain your teeth, but it would cling onto your enamel for dear life. Blare is the rain pounding on your roof at midnight and looks like fog forming on a cloudy day. Though blare is also the very pigmented version of cotton candy at the fair.

As a person who loves to paint, I can totally see the imagery you used to describe the bold colors that "only touch and never unite" due to a "prickly," dried out brush. I love this.
