A “Killer” Ending

Her tears leave her face, dripping down her chin..

The picture burning in the fireplace,

The flames curl around the tinted picture.

The lighter thrown on the floor, far away from where it once was.

The burning light upon her face- as the picture burns to ashes.

Her heart can’t take it no longer.

He was the one she truly loved,

Yet, he still left her broken as if it was nothing.

It hurts as if a thousand hornets had stung her heart..

Over and over again..

Her tears become dry.

A slight smile piers up on her face,

She opened the drawer to reveal a knife..

She sharpened the blade ever so slightly.

She was going to get revenge.

I wrote this thinking of a scary movie about a women who not going to go down without a fight- and ends up killing the one she supposedly “loved” before he dumped her for another. :)
