poem 4 comments challenge: Static
cakeart27

Static

262267__gowlermusic__radio-static_1.mp3
The static screams from the radio
scratching to get out

The words try to get through
but just get lost in the storm

You turn the radio
less static
but you still can't hear

You pull the antenna
out farther
but it doesn't help

The words you're trying to hear
are still lost

The person saying them
thinks you can hear
thinks they are helping you
but they aren't

You finally change the channel
and watch the game on T.V.

I really like the amount of detail you put into this poem. It's just a normal, mundane moment but with verbs like "screams" you give the poem more power. The reader can put themselves in the situation and understand the frustration.
    Keep up the great work

    CakeArt,

Love this. I agree with Dan. And I love the action within the poem as well.

To assist those readers just coming upon this, I uploaded the challenge audio to your piece and added the #sos17 hashtag.

    Nicely done.
