Knowing you was bittersweet
purple wildflowers on my tongue.

Knowing you was bright
sunshine on my face.

Knowing you was fleeting--
the breeze floating through my hair.

Knowing you was chaos--
chocolate melting on our teeth.

Missing you will be torment--
the trash left on that grass where we ate and laughed and smiled.
