The little things in life catch my attention
I always wonder if in the future there will be little things to see
I watch the sunrise
I smell the homey smell of woodsmoke
I feel the rough skin of my daddy’s hands
I savor the sweet taste of home-cooked food
I hear the calls of the early birds in the morning
I don’t want any of that to go away
If we don’t change the way this world is going
Every single one of those things will slowly disappear
I always wonder if in the future there will be little things to see
I watch the sunrise
I smell the homey smell of woodsmoke
I feel the rough skin of my daddy’s hands
I savor the sweet taste of home-cooked food
I hear the calls of the early birds in the morning
I don’t want any of that to go away
If we don’t change the way this world is going
Every single one of those things will slowly disappear
