*AT HOME*
As soon as Ivy got home she used her phone to book a flight for 12:00 in the afternoon the next day. She spent some time walking around the kitchen making some snacks for the night.
Just one night …. One night before I leave my home hopefully never returning. Ivy had decided to pack the night before so she wouldn’t have to spend as much time on that early in the morning.
Her flight was late in the day so she was able to keep up her usual habits as a night owl. She decided to watch Hamilton one last time in her old room.
By the first song words were already ringing in her head. “In New York you can be a new man…” Ivy had hoped that could apply to her also. She hoped she could leave her life behind and not have to constantly be reminded of her life before the war.
