Awe

I measured myself yesterday 
against the ruler of the sky
I didn’t even reach the clouds
No trace of life gone by

All at once, I perceived 
the vast expanse of time
It sprawled out there 
in front of me
Infinitesimal infinity 
A sight of pure divine

I’ll leave no mark in emptiness
My voice will never ring
But it has left its mark in me.
This nothingness is everything
