opinions on worlds I've yet to see

calgary sticks in the mind like mud;
california's a spinner of dreams
boston is Cupid with arrows and slings;
fair london just bursts at the seams

chicago is ashy and orleans rosy;
tangled in fire and battles alike
Lo, in worms rome of fables old;
Hector weilding his great bronzèd knife

the poets of each proclaim sickly love;
ensare me with sweet jams and rhyme
filling my head with blank city fancies;
'till my jowls grow grizzled with time

still the rockies exalt as Pan on his flute;
Gentlebrook wraps 'round my waist
clutter and chatter fade into fog;
rich heart, clear mind, noble place
