The Yoga Mat

I somehow wound up
Sitting on a blue yoga mat in my back yard.
It was just so beautiful to sit inside
And the sun was calling me today which it normally never does
(if so I'm usually am too busy to listen)
I alread got something in my eye
And my next door neighbores are
discretly watching me.
U just boticed a bunch of little sparrows
eating in my neighbores yard.
They belnd in with the dirt
but a cardinal who came to join them
caught my eye.
THe sky is just the right amount of grey blue
and the wind only makes me cold
every few minuets.
Blowing around me rather than through me.
One of those birds that I never see just made the best sound;
It sounded like a drawn out owl noise
Or the base note on a pan flute.
I don't know what possesed me to drag my yoga mat
onto my patchy backyard,
I don't know why I allowed everyone to see
My blue flower pj pants and Whovill hair.
But I'm really glad I decided to come.
If only for a little bit
(its been ten mineuts and I'm getting cold)
Because then I'd miss the luke wark sky
And the single streak from an airplane
And the general feeling that there is more to life
Than meeting deadlines and achieving sociatel milestones.
Grass doesn't live this way,
Birds son't live this way,
Dirt doesn't live this way
and yet I think there all  happy
(I won't ask right now because the neighbore already thinkgs I'm a bit nuts).
Its refreshing to have a leaf land on your head
And to rememeber what 'almost cold' feels like
and sit there, small, powerless
Against the forces of earth wind and mighty oaks.
So I don't know how I got to this point.
But I'm really glad I did.
