Pretending

You're the center of attention
Everyone calling your name
Everyone wants to sit by you
Just because your you
Or the you they think you are
They don´t know you're pretending
They don´t know the pain you keep inside
They don´t know how many lies you tell
About how your ¨Fine¨ and feeling ¨Great¨
They don´t know that you stand in front of your mirror,
You close your eyes
And when you open them you wish you would see someone else.
They don´t know who you are,
Or you who were,
All they know is who youvé become.
But you stay that way,
The you that isn't you
Because that's the you ¨they¨ all love
Maybe the problem is your focused on what ¨they¨ think
And not what you think.
But you don´t even know what you think or what you want
because you're so used to pretending to be someone your not
You've forgotten who You are.
The worst part is,
When you open your eyes in front of the mirror
you see a stranger,
someone shallow and fake.
And that strange?
That stranger is you.

This poem was inspired by a character in a show that I was watching ¨Get Even¨

  • Shallow

    She's a swan,
    How she sores
    Beautiful and elegant,
more then one would ever wish
    He's an eagle,
    How he dives
    Strong as an ox
Yet as shallow as a Hallow.
    Then Theirs The duck
    Who has not yet bloomed
  • Imagine

Imagine a world where we're all set free
from all the worries we face every day.
Imagine a world where you're always safe
    and can find peace.
Imagine a world where no one will judge.
You can be who you are, and that will be enough.
  • The Beauty Of The Eraser

I hold my pencil in my hand,
I Grip it tight to let it flow,
I lead it left then right again,
    I make a circle,
    Big and round,
    I make a square,
    Then turn it around,
    I try and focus,
On the Vision in my head,
    I erase,
