Lying

There once was an old woman who sold figs and bread
In a town in the mist by the sea
Wearing wool and a cap all the old woman said
"Snacks a shilling for the price of three."
The children would run from their schoolhouse at two
with a shilling and a grin on their face
and under the sky and the sea of blue
to the fig lady the chilren would race
but the sea and the sky knew more than the little elves
since they watched the lady night and day
stealing bread and figs in the dark cloak of twelve
and never bothering to pay
and just before the schoolbell rang
the wind pulled her with a grip she couldn't free
And yelping and crying the wind simply sang
and tossed her into the sea
the waves came down and crushed her cap
seafoam smacked her head
and the waters of justice dragged her from the map
no more old woman with figs and bread

Every time I jump the world spins once

And I land in the same spot

My dog looks like a gremlin when he’s sleeping

It’s midnight and I wonder if my salt lamp is really salt

    Ick yep it is
