As I looked up at the sky, I spread my wings out as if I was going to take a flight. I stared at the little fluffy puffs of cloud until they blew across the sky. I sniffed the air, as more and more clouds blew across the sky. These clouds were dark and moist-smelling, but looked like a dragon's breath. A storm was coming. A big storm. Storms come often in the rainforest, but storms like this are rare. My scales dazzled green and purple with fear and excitement. Us RainWings can change the color of our scales. Suddenly, more and more clouds rolled faster and faster, and a mini hurricane of leaves flew against my scales. I changed my scales to match the leaves. I love that dark, mossy, green, color. The clouds now are swirling in a funnel shape. Oh no. This wasn't just a big hurricane. This was much, much worse. This was the kind of storm that tore the tallest jungle trees from the ground and tossed them into the air. This is the kind of storm that sucked up everything in its path and spared nothing. This is the storm that is more powerful than a dragon's wings. This is a tornado. My scales turned bright white; a sign of deepest fear. I dove under the rock, shoving myself back as far as I could go. I could still see the sky. It was gray and angry. The funnel of the tornado had already formed and causing mayhem. I saw moneys, birds, snakes, and jungle cats being sucked up. Then I saw them. Hundreds of pure white RainWings fighting against the storm.
