the world is temporarily closed
we've hidden behind masks
and closed the shutters
to our lives

the doors will open someday
or at least,
we hope they will
we can't live like this forever

i like how the sky never closes
the stars stay bright
maybe they could teach us
something

'temporarily'
is the word i like the most
it will be gone soon,
and it will return to normal.
