The Pandemic

Mary Veracka

My experience with the pandemic was not horrible. I didn't mind quarantining with online schooling. I got to be around my family more. Even though I couldn't see my friends and couldn't go out places, we made the best out of it. I had my phone so I could always call or text my friends. I got to hang out with my sisters and parents more. Having phones was a blessing during this time because without our phones I never could have talked to my friends.
My pandemic consisted of doing homework in my bed, car rides all over different towns to be doing something, social distance walks.  I had a lot more time to do things I wanted with no sports and soon summer started I got to do more things I wanted. I spent a good portion in Maine on the beach or pool with friends up in Maine. I truly didn't mind quarantine. It was a bad time for health issues. I was also sad that I couldn't see my grandparents.  Would usually go up for a week in the summer and see them and help them with anything they needed but with covid, I was unable to see them. I got to talk to them on the phone all the time though. Overall quarantine wasn't that bad. I was very lucky and didn't lose anyone to the virus.
