Ink Dipped Toes

Ink dipped toes now take the stage
Waiting for the music played
taking front and center stage.
My thoughts then start to swirl away.
And off she goes! My ballerina.
Inked dipped toes in white arena.
Pen in hand to write on page-
Words are born in one glissade.
    Leaping, leaving trace of thought
bending, doting i's a lot
twirling, freezing all my thoughts
producing rhymes and rants and plots.
She hears the music, Oh gracious ears!
she listens to the words and tears
And with one kick and spin thereafter
Prances fear or pain or laughter.
Dropping does she curve the A
listening to what I say
Bending is the question mark
uncertainties from my own hear.
Through her music is my thoughts
Her steps portray whats in my heart.
Ink dipped toes on white arena
dancing is my ballerina.
