The galaxy in her eye

I think roses root in their own scent searching for the thing just out of reach
We attach our feelings to our mind But it is in the air we find the hope
The roses don’t think about planets but we do naming the unnameable things in the nothing

The first time I saw blue I was nothing   an empty vessel for the cosmos
The first time I saw blue

I wondered who do we think we are in this world

Surely not an empty vessel for the stars

We watch time in its perpetual turning

Sinking into the emptiness sinking sinking

The only thing left behind is your lost dress floating in my memories

I can feel you searching for yourself

Among the rushing river

The wet splashes like wishes on your already blue pants staining them bluer

The general hum thrums through my mind like the flickering light fading into the dark

As the hours pass so does time And all we do is watch

So take out the swords and sleep

For these

Are the differences that define the you and I

    bloom

    on my bedroom dresser,
demise blooms from cracked petals and dried stems,
rubbing against a dusty glass vase.

each flower once flourishing and loved--
only to be hung upside down,
and left to die in a dank closet.

    turn my swag on

    Live, Laugh, Love.
The beautiful flowers of earth sprout from the seeded soil,
The trees blow back and fourth with the rythem of the wind,
the ocean swells into giant pool along the rock cliffs of life,
