Odds and ends

Odds and Ends

The late autumn wind wallops the willow tree
The creek flows like there is no end
The wind sings like the owls at night
The crickets rub their wings to make a lullaby that no one thinks to create
The dragonfly gallup’s across the sky like no horses could ever fly

Sometimes I wander
Though the woods
With the earth at my toes
Just thinking of what I will say
words that spark my mind
Some inspiration

Sometimes if you stop and listen
You can hear a whisper
A whisper that only you can hear

It’s the tree gnomes
that gallop with the dragonflies
Late at night
Across the moon
Just like Santa does
But the only difference is the gnomes have stars as reindeer
