On 27th Avenue

On 27th Avenue
Oscar Reo
On the cracked sidewalks of downtown Oakland it lurks, hearts stop, and blood chills as it creeps by. In the shadow of an alley, you will feel it, almost as if it is breathing down your neck. If you are so unlucky as to catch a glimpse of its spiny, hairy, hunched back from around a corner, or hear a twisted growl. You will begin to run, trying to escape the evil from down that alley. A few souls have even caught the top of its bald head. It dwells in the alley on 27th Avenue, and when the light just peaks over the water before descending into darkness, you can see a shadow that looks all too human. But the hunched, unnatural position, and the long, misshapen fingers will lead you to believe otherwise. Ignorance can be bliss, but the unknown only will lead to more fear.

At 10:07 a man walks out of McHiggins bar on east 27th ave. by 10:12, he is found dead, his body has not been touched except a long scratch across his forehead. Events eerily similar to this in the surrounding area are becoming all too familiar. Leaving the authorities stumped, they have considered these deaths as coincidences, but this is the work of the creature on 27th avenue.
