A Woven Story

With a story only the wind knows,

I watch in dead silence as the snow,

falls onto the land, engulfing it in a hug.

Each snowflake dances in the icy air,

as animals come closer; warm and snug.

Fall passed us without a single care,

leaving us with winter’s pale eyes of blue.

The sun sets in hues of golden yellow,

On this mountain, the land below is a view-

unlike any other; everything seems mellow.

Calm and serene, almost as if time listens-

to winter, who’s tears practically glisten,

in the gentle star light of the quiet night,

everything is still as if time is frozen.

Winter is a true masterpiece, woven-

to absolute perfection, without a flaw.
