Lake House

I am from early mornings and late nights

I am from the magic of sneaking out in the
soft pre-dawn light, careful not to wake my sleeping sister.

I am from lake and leaves,
from watching the sunset as it blazes across the sky.

I am from the sound of waves crashing on the beach,
from the scent of pine and the whisper of the breeze through the treetops.

I am from endless projects with my grandfather,
from treehouses to catapults, the adventures never end.

I am from rainy day games and sunny day swimming.

I am from home.
