make a wish

the flashing and blinding lights blur around me
as tears slip out of my eyes

a never-ending stream of consciousness pours out
from the moment the sky brightens
to the moment the world darkens
and then
nothing
the waters finally calming
the overflowing dam letting down its walls
do you think
when i push down memories
deep
down
down
the void catches them through the cracks in my heart
watches them
and feels pity?
i cry
empty my heart out
but burning trash was never very efficient
