On a day with borrowed light,
warmth and comfort is found in the early night.
The day of the sun’s return,
Is dark and cold.
The only light in the sky-
are the soft stars that shy-
away from the Earth following the moon.
Flames of red and orange burn-
as they dance with the wind.
The breeze tangles itself,
with boughs of evergreen trees.
As celebrations go on happily.
For every word I can’t say,
I try to write it down,
but at the end of the day,
I know I’ll never find the words.
They jumble together,
like the sunset’s melting colors.
For every excuse I make,
Searching for something more,
The days pass me by,
like the wind on the shore.
I look to the stars for answers,
Hoping to see my future,
In their crystal like light.
As the darkness of night,
