Crumbling

Falling leaves

Tickle and tease

As we finish Night together.

We speak in turns – or when the other cannot.

There are times we must stop and cry together.
Hold each other up, as we crumble.

And then the last line is uttered.

It can be hard

To feel so broken

In such a beautiful world.

A maple leaf dances on the breeze.

We take a risk, and reach up
