Ticking on a Clock (story)

Days are long

lasting hours at a time

Flowers grow

Meadows wake

my heart aches

Our time was counted

Every minute, your last

The explosion in my heart

The breath,

The blast

Your breath, our last

The bees buzz

The moon falls

Every night

Every hour

Your voice calls

The silence is loud

The willows weep

I only met you once

But that once

Was my keep

The sun hits your face

Golden hour, almost done

An arrow hits my heart

My friend, outdone

Your breath paces slow

Minutes of the hour

One after another

Two at the hour

Time in my hands

You said you’ll love me until the end

Your eyes flicker

Your heart black and blue

Three more minutes left

Breathe I beg you

Get up

your journeys not done.

The ocean is too deep to sit out here in the sun.

The quiver of your bow

lands at my feet

Your death I’m scared to meet

Four times you kissed me that day

Laughing at our feat

Our friend blown to pieces

While love, we greet

Bring them back

Back to the shore

Of the land,

Where you and I, once fell

Fall slow, my friend

My lover

My enemy

My sun

The end

You say you love me

Silence fills the air

The time ran out

Grief floods my doubt

One

Two

Three

Four

The last cannon blows right at our feet

Gone in a flash

Minutes gone in seconds

Left soft and bare

Your lips once on mine

Our home stood right there

The face I once knew

The final blow

The one that took you

My screams fill the earth

Again and again

Time wasn’t in my favor, my friend

My lover

My enemy

My sun

Your end

My vision tunnels

the earth begins to bend

You lay there alone

Til light becomes my sin

At Moonlight we will met again

As We watch the stars unfold

You are Apollo

While I am Mars

Soul to the world

Soul to my heart
