Planting

Planting

When Johnny first put that seed in the ground, when he first covered it with soil and gave it water, he had no idea how big it would become.

Every day Johnny came back to that spot. And every day that tree grew. And grew. And grew.

Over the years, it grew taller and bigger than all the other trees around.

After a while, Johnny became John. He had kids. And his kids had kids.

After many years John grew old and sick, too sick to see his beloved tree, which had become massive.

After John passed on, his loved ones buried him in the one spot he loved most. Next to his tree.

“A simple grave will do,” said John in his will. “I just want to be with my tree."
