Today is the laziest of lazy days. It is August, 10, the national lazy day of the United States. Why on earth did my parents choose to sit me down in this damp old house with Great Uncle Bart? If there is one thing you need to know about Great Uncle Bart is that he loves being lazy every single waking moment of his torpid old life. He talks so rarely to the point that when he does, he sounds like a raspy old frog. Don’t get me wrong, I love Bart he is great and he is willing to listen to just about everything if you put him in a good enough position on his couch (don’t even get me started on his couch). But today I was going to go out with my friends and visit the new iced-tea place in the downtown area and then go and skate on our fresh-out-of-the-oven skate park. But sadly, today I am doomed to sitting with Great Uncle Bart on his saggy old couch, watching reruns on TV from when everything was black and white. Oh, look!
