Sexuality

I'm a lesbian, and I'm proud of it. I'm also a christian, in fact my dad is a pastor. It's a very difficult thing to be part of the LGBTQIA community while in a very christian family. My family loves me and accepts me. I believe that love is love and it doesn't matter what gender you love. I also find that it's funny how christians say that being gay is a sin while they also believe that God created humans to be exactly how they are. Some people disagree with the "decision" to be gay. It's not a decision or a lifestyle. Maybe for some people it is a lifestyle, but not me. It's just how I was made and how the many other people in the LGBTQIA community were made. It's completely okay to be gay.

I'm so sorry that you are in this situation, but I'm glad that you seem to have such resolve and determination to get through. You're clearly very strong to assert your own identity in a hostile environment--something I think I couldn't have done if I hadn't had such an accepting family. I hope that things improve for you and that you meet others in the real world who support and understand your situation, and in the meantime you have my full support. Good luck.

Thank you so much, you have no idea how happy I am that I had the ability to spark these thoughts inside peoples heads. I am very thankful. Thank you for caring about me in the way you do, and I'm glad things are doing good in your home. If you don't mind me asking, what's your sexuality?

I'm christian and straight and I love this so very much. I believe love is love is love is love, and you should always be true to your heart and love whoever you want and to except people for who they are. I agree that its funny about it being a sin and being as you are, i wish I had an answer as to why that happens. bottom line is I like the bottom line :)

Thank you so much. I have gotten so much love and quite a bit of acceptance especially from my christian friends. I am very grateful that you are another ally in our community. Thank you for your kindness and acceptance.

I misunderstood when my mother spoke to me. I changed what needed to be changed. Thank you all for understanding.

I love how you said that being gay is not always a lifestyle it is just who you are, I totally agree. Also, it is really brave and open and awesome of you to express this kind of thing :)
