Frail

Frail
like a grandmother's hand
twisted and withered.

Frail
like an empty shell lying on the sand
an old home, now abandoned.

Frail
a broken heart
locked in a cage of rib bones.

Frail
a dead leaf in the wind
being blown from one lonely lawn to another.

Frail
quietly dying inside
while smiling like nothing could be better.

Frail
bruised and broken
in a hospital bed.

Frail
shut up
and pushed down
by the cruel words you have said.

Frail
knew born life
innocent and curios

Frail
a new start
for all of us.
