The glowing moon fades through my window as I try to sleep. Tossing and turning, I watch for creepy crawlies ready to pounce or bite, ghosts in the walls playing tricks and scaring kids. Rumbling, thumping, and clawing comes from my closet, petrified I jump. I close my eyes again and try to sleep telling myself it was just my imagination playing tricks on me. My heart starts to race as the closet doors suddenly jerk open, as a creature as fast as lighting springs onto my bed, claws out. Laughing at myself, I notice it’s just my cat.
