My Raccoon Story
One day I was checking my raccoon trap on my farm. The trap was 10 feet from our corn field where raccoons were eating the corn. I am using trout as bait. For a week, I have been catching skunks every day. I am about half way to the trap and I can see the door of the trap is down, so I know I caught something. When I get there I see a big raccoon in the trap. I was so happy that I ran all the way back home. I came running into the house and I took a minute to catch my breath. I talked as fast as I could to everyone and they told me to slow down.

After I caught my breath, I told everyone what I caught. We all went down to the trap and my mom said it was a baby but it was not a baby. It was a full grown adult. We all walked back to the house. In about an hour, my dad and I went to take care of him. That was the best day ever! I had a lot of fun and got rid of a pest.
