-SONG- Words for an Empty Street (How You Left it to Be)

how you left it to be.m4a

I haven't posted a song in a while! I have so many that I'm going to try and record, but this one I wanted to record and post as soon as possible; I'm kind of proud of it, even though at the same time I dislike it -the self-inflicted curse of songwriting. It's supposed to be the theme of a short movie I'm working on, but that's not even close to being done yet, so for now, here's the song! (Constructive criticism much appreciated!)
Lyrics:

Walk to a place
Down in the rain
Drowning in plain old everyday
Pockets and a tired face
Just go along
Ignoring that empty space

Places, things
I can't recall
Done with it all, in a way
Breathing through the empty days
Just go along
Dig deeper a hiding space

'Cause things have a way
Of falling into place
Come home just to see
Everything's just how you left it to be
So I guess I'll stay
Change the things that I can't replace
Try and make myself believe
Everything falls as it's meant to be

Look, don't touch
Rules of a word
Whose voices were heard at the end of the day
Cares and an empty grace
We're told to move on
Continue with a forced kind of hate

I'd like to hold you
In a helpful kind of peaceful mind
Make me fear change
Within or without
I think I'm falling in love with your doubt

'Cause you have a way
Of falling into place
Come home with me
Everything's how you would leave it to be
I hope that you'll stay
'Cause you're just one thing I'll have to face
Help each other believe
Everything falls as it's meant to leave

Walk to a place
Down in the rain
Drowning in plain old everyday
Keep me in a special place
Remember my love
To slowly heal that empty space...

Damn. That's truly beautiful. I was almost crying, your voice lends itself very well to this style, and your talent is very clear, this is amazing. I have nothing to say in ways of improvements. Thank you, for sharing your music with the world.

I'm going to be starting a YouTube channel for my videos and music, and I can post a link to the channel when I've posted something on it. But I'm not sure how to send you my sisters' band's music...
