Writing Challenges: Inspiration and ideas to spark your creativity every day

Warm Tints and Shades
Take a look through your photos from the last XP's activity.

Did you end up with a wide range of lighting techniques?

How did these lighting techniques work with the warm colors in your photos?

Should you try different lighting techniques for warm colors you didn't get to explore in the last XP?

How does the transition from shades to tints affect how we interpret a photo with primarily warm colors?

Do you think these transitions have enough power to alter the mood of a photo?

Cool Tints and Shades
In your photos from the last XP, how do you notice different lighting techniques affecting the cool colors?

Think about how the different levels of shadows or tints in the photos you see in the examples. How do these affect the feel of the overall the photo? How could you use this to your advantage?

How does the transition from shades to tints affect how we interpret a photo with primarily cool colors?
Activity
For this activity, you'll be working with either warm or cool colors. Choose the one that you didn't work with in the Hot and Cold XP activity.

Find a subject and environment that provides a primarily warm or primarily cool color palette. Similar to the last activity, you'll be experimenting with different types of lighting to see how it affects the way those colors are perceived.

Take 5 to 10 photos and post them as a slideshow.
