Stargirl

Covid on Broadway

Fossilized musicals
and broken keyboards
shattered lights
and frozen characters
all laid out
on a stained glass floor

Shadows of dancing
now only ghosts
echos
of applause
from the departed audience
Old buildings and trees
covered in dust

All waiting
wondering
when they will be swept
into motion again

"Fossilized musicals" I love that line!

    "Meet me
    where the end begins,
    in echoes,
    where your world is me,
    and my world is yours."
