Keep Them Close

Friends are there for you if you ask,
Best friends are there before you even think about it.

With friends you have to talk,
With best friends you can just sit side by side, knowing that they are there.

Friends will make you jealous, showing off and making it look easy.
Best friends make you feel human, we see each other's faults and acknowledge them.

Friends are like friends,
Best friends are like siblings.

With friends you have to watch what you say, anything could offend them.
With best friends we can joke and say whatever comes to mind, if we go too far, just reel it back in.

Friends can make you feel lessened,
While best friends make you feel more.

Friends you can sort, into groups,
Best friends are like perfect angels from heaven.

Friends come and go, disappear and leave you in the dust.
Best friends are with you every step of the race, every finish line too.

Friends and best friends, so different yet so same.
Keep them close, you will need them again.

Awww this was so sweet! All of these are so true. Especially having to talk with friends, and just sitting with your best friend doing nothing. The best are phone calls were you just do homework and don't talk but don't hang up. And the last line is sO tRuE. lovely piece

I agree, homework phone calls are the best(and actually really helpful)
