Sunset

Driving west to the
open-mouthed sun, waiting to
swallow us whole. The most
beautiful shades of
orange, pink, & blue
swirling around a ball of
literal fire. Clouds
scattering and the sun
running away to make
room for the
moon & stars. Now,
darkness rules the
Earth, & its
sleeping subjects hardly
notice how the
world keeps spinning
without them.
