Thirteen  billion years ago a rock was formed. It was the only thing on the planet at the moment. It technically was inside the planet, but let's just say it was a normal rock. All rocks start differently, but this was the most different of all. 

Ten thousand years ago, this happened.

The planet was made by the power of twin volcanoes and a huge energy wave creating a planet. A rain of meteors and pieces of sun hit the twin volcanoes causing a reaction that made 

something we now call radiation and obsidian. 

    The lava got so hot that it became super cold and turned into the obsidian. Radiation was created when the sun fragment crashed into the meteorites. This burned holes through the meteorites causing the sun fragments to cool down and crash into each other. The rock is still left though all of the mayhem.

A raindrop
It starts in the clouds
It falls onto houses
Onto cars
Onto People
Those people get wet and cold
They hate the raindrop
But the raindrop only wants to create life
It gives moisture to the soil
Makes plants grow
Its only purpose is to make life flourish
Yet they hate the raindrop
It makes rivers
Freezes, making snow
But the raindrop falls everywear
Not meaning to fall on people
After all
It's only a raindrop

 

A pen has often been overlooked for its despicable uses.
It means writing an upcoming essay for class,
Or scribbling down lengthy math problems showcased on the whiteboard,
Tasks that make students groan over what assignments are to come.

A pen is more than just the sturdy structure of its existence,
It’s more than the ink that flows out if you apply the right amount of pressure.
A pen holds mighty power. 
It can form words that have the most influential impact on crowds, civilizations, or nations as a whole.
It has the ability to persuade,
Compel minds to steer towards a direction of an individual’s choosing,
To make people second guess themselves,
To communicate and spread information like a wildfire,
And to educate the youth that will one day command generations ahead of us.

To put it simply,
It’s an instrument of opportunity,
Of change,
And of great impact.

My mask leads a pitiable life
Strapped to my face all day
And yet it protects me and keeps me safe
"Thank you!" is what I'd like to say.

Thanks for all the times in the crowded mall
When I worked the counter
Thanks for the times when the children coughed
When you never blanched or floundered.

Thanks for your embrace
On chilly winter morns
Thanks for sitting on my chin
From morning to dusk, till dawn.

Thanks for coming to the States
And to England, and to Spain
Thanks for the comfort you provide
No matter how much I might complain.

I sing your praises, you scrap of cloth
With your bands of white elastic.
Who knew that the line between life and death
Could be as small as a piece of fabric?
