It started off as one of the brightest days in Mia’s hometown, Montanna. The cordate leaves on the slim trees gleamed with joy. Gripping her 35 year old mom’s hand, she carefully walked across the street, jumping over every white line drawn on the crosswalk. Mia was overflowing with energy, considering her 6th birthday was only two days away. She twirled her hair around her finger as she carefully placed each foot over the cracks in the sidewalk, to prevent her mom from any harm. She was one of those kids who believed anything she heard, whole heartedly. So once her grandpa jokingly stated “step on a crack, break your mother’s back”, she was very cautious with every skip, leap, gallop, or stride. Five minutes into their walk Mia’s calves started to ache. She had decided to wear her favorite white chunky heels with a design of Snow White’s face on the tip. Which she now realized was not the best idea.
